On a circular platform a cylindrical and a cubic 'pedestal' are facing each other and on which persons can sit, represent the different positions of the two parties in dialogue.

With the memorial for active non-violence at the bridgehead of the Nibelungen Bridge, the City of Peace Linz would like to set a visible sign for non-violent conflict culture. This memorial is also intended to reflect the past of this city and to commemorate those Austrians who actively opposed the National Socialist regime of violence without resorting to violence.
