Auf Einladung der Medien- und Architekturbiennale Graz entwickelte Karl-Heinz Klopf ein Display für die Präsentation des Videos Environments (1998). Dabei reagierte er auf die spezielle Situation im ehemaligen Thalia-Kino in Graz aus den 1960er Jahren. Über eine vorhandene, sich drehende Tanzbühne baute der Künstler eine eigene Plattform in Sitzhöhe. Um den Sockel platzierte er drei Monitore mit dem Video. BesucherInnen konnten sich mit Funkkopfhörern auf die drehende Plattform setzen, die Erzählungen der NetzteilnehmerInnen über ihre Erfahrungen mit dem Internet hören und gleichzeitig ihren Blick von Monitor zu Monitor schweifen lassen.

At the invitation of the Medien- und Architekturbiennale Graz, Karl-Heinz Klopf created a display for the presentation of the video Environments (1998). In it, he responded to the special conditions of the former Thalia cinema in Graz from the sixties. The artist built a platform at sitting height over an existing, rotating dance floor. Around the base he placed three monitors that ran the video. Visitors could sit on the rotating platform with wireless headphones, listen to the stories told by Net users about their experiences with the Internet, and allow their gaze to rove from monitor to monitor.
