Eine Wand, die die dahintergelegene Glasfassade beschattet, formt Karl-Heinz Klopf wie ein zerknittertes Blatt Papier aus. Dieses in Schulen gängige Material wird dabei sozusagen aus den Innenräumen herausgezoomt und als Teil der Architektur in den Außenraum transformiert. Die Wand ist in Beton ausgeführt und ist als skulpturales Element ausgebildet, bei dem das Innen und Außen in enger Beziehung steht. Sie fungiert als Schnittstelle zwischen Schule und Park. Der Blick von innen auf die Zerknitterte Wand erzeugt eine besondere Atmosphäre, wirkt inszeniert und durch das einfallende Tageslicht dynamisch reflektierend. Mit diesem in die Architektur integrierten Bauteil entsteht zum einen ein Superzeichen für die Schule, sowie ein prägnanter städtebaulicher Baustein, der die topologische und kulturelle Identität der Stadt Kufstein auf neue Weise weiterführt.

A wall, which shades the glass facade behind, is formed like a crinkled sheet of paper. That material so commonly used at schools is quasi zoomed out of the interior and transformed as part of the architecture into the exterior. The wall is made of concrete and formed as a sculptural element, thus establishing a close relation between the interior and the exterior. It functions as an interface between the school and the park. The view of the Crinkled Wall from the interior creates a special atmosphere. It seems to be staged and is dynamically reflected by daylight. This wall, integrated into the architecture of the school, is an icon for the school and a concise urbanistic module which highlights the topological and cultural identity of the town of Kufstein in a new way.
